Synopsis

Set in 1990s Tucson, Arizona, We Are The Dead is a stark black-and-white film about violence, faith, and alienation in the shadow of the Gulf War. Through the desert landscape and a formally austere style, the film examines how violence reproduces itself through family, institutions, and American religious culture.
